A gruesome triple murder leads a team of police officers into the depths of organized crime. "The police officer never doubts for a moment how the case will turn out: it will be solved. What troubles him is something else: where do his own limits lie in relation to the darkest aspects of the human condition?”
The police officer realizes that to defeat the monster, he must often push-or even cross-his own moral boundaries.
The play does not simply focus on “who the killer is.” It analyzes the psychological and moral cost paid by the investigator himself in his quest for catharsis, because “Catharsis is not freely given; it comes at a price.”
